CSTEP offers robust programming, resources and opportunities with a focus on student success and career readiness, connecting our students with resources that make a difference. Here is how:

• Paid research experiences. Gain career and research experience, work with a faculty mentor and receive a stipend from us.
• Graduate School Preparation. Our support includes personal statement review; application fee waivers to select schools (including UB); and Kaplan Scholarships for standardized exams, including the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, PCAT, OAT and DAT prep courses.
• Funding opportunities for conferences. Let us cover your transportation and travel expenses for conferences and programs that build your skills and your resume.
• Workshops and seminars. Learn from the experts from UB, industry and the Buffalo community.
• Summer Research Program. Immerse yourself in the culture and rigors of research in this intensive 9-week program.
• Academic and career support. We’ll help you set goals, prioritize, find solutions and overcome difficulties.
• Free tutoring. Gain an academic edge with tutoring services, offered through Tutoring and Academic Support Services. Individual and group sessions are offered throughout the year.
• Educational trips and tours. Academic, professional and cultural opportunities are provided.
• Campus Health Educators (CHE). Partnering with for this service learning opportunity, Campus Health Educators (CHEs) raise awareness and educate the UB community on the importance of blood and organ donation.
