Software License Service

The Software License Service is an infrastructure to manage UBIT services'  access to software licenses according to  site license agreements between UB and software vendors.

Intended Audience: UB students, faculty and staff

Availability: 24 hours daily

Support: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET Monday - Friday; After hours support provided only for urgent and high priority problems

Service to negotiate contracts for site-licensed software and administer the distribution to the campus, including programs such as SUNY ITEC.

Software Purchasing

UB makes available links to contracted vendors for purchasing software. There are different methods depending on whether it is installed on a personally-owned computer or a UB-owned computer.
