Reuters featured Siwei Lyu in an article about an AI-generated video that shows apocalyptic scenes from the Los Angeles fires. The Canadian Press utilized the DeepFake-o-Meter, developed by Siwei Lyu and his team in UB’s Media Forensic Lab, to disprove misinformation that has been circulating about the Canadian Prime Minister being linked to the Sean Combs investigation.
