The former UB Office of Economic Development (OED) is now Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships, a name change that reflects enhanced services.

  • Increase industry engagement through business development support, matching funds for consulting and research with industry, identifying and securing industry partners, and funding experiential learning opportunities for students.
  • Increase technology start-ups spinning out of the university through enhanced commercialization support including funding opportunities, incubation, business formation support and access to mentoring/business expertise.

UB Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships office works closely with industry and entrepreneurs facilitating relationships that leverage university knowledge, talent and technology to strengthen our innovation economy. In conjunction with Technology Transfer, we also foster industry relationships that offer real-world opportunities for cutting-edge research, and assist in nurturing faculty and student entrepreneurial activity.
