  • The Buffalo News reported the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation awarded UB $4.5 million to create a state Center for Plastic Recycling Research and Innovation at UB. The center will be led by Amit Goyal, SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

  • The initiative builds upon New York State efforts to boost recycling and reduce waste, which will improve the environment and fight climate change.

  • Grant to focus on joint efforts of New York State and University at Buffalo to boost plastics recycling, improve the environment.
