D&I Research Consultation Services
The Dissemination and Implementation Science Core offers consultation on dissemination and implementation science design, methods, and measures to any interested UB health sciences faculty. Consultations start with brief advice and may lead to collaborations that involve co-investigator and co-author roles.
Our team will also meet with and advise clinical and translational pilot studies applicants invited to submit full proposals so that dissemination and implementation considerations are addressed. Addressing dissemination and implementation considerations pertinent to the translational stage will be emphasized as full proposals are reviewed.
In addition, the D&I Science Core will work with K Scholars and other Buffalo Translational Consortium faculty scholars to incorporate dissemination and implementation plans and consider anticipated implementation challenges in their work. Consultation topics include:

The core provides advice on developing research approaches using dissemination and implementation theories, frameworks, or methods to enhance the translation of evidence-based practices into real-world settings.
Stakeholder and Community Engagement for D&I
We help you to identify and collaborate with key stakeholders across a learning health partnership, and in integrating community perspectives to ensure research is relevant, impactful, and tailored to address real-world challenges in healthcare and health disparities.
Strategies for Adapting Interventions for Context
The core assists with identification of strategies for tailoring evidence-based interventions to meet the unique needs and characteristics of specific settings or populations, ensuring their relevance, feasibility, and effectiveness in diverse real-world environments.
D&I Metrics and Evaluation
We assist in selecting or developing tools to measure the success of implementing evidence-based practices, ensuring their effectiveness and sustainability in real-world settings.
Grant Proposal Development
The core provides support for implementation science-focused grant submissions, as well as with writing the dissemination and implementation sections of other funding applications. This service helps ensure that proposals effectively address dissemination and implementation science design, methods, and measures to enhance the likelihood of funding success.
Disseminating D&I Research
We provide guidance on sharing research findings with academic and non-academic audiences, using tailored strategies to ensure results reach relevant stakeholders and inform real-world practices.
