Harvey D. Palmer is an associate professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at the University at Buffalo. His research largely focuses on elections, voting behavior and public opinion from American and comparative perspectives.
Palmer's work has been published in the American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, British Journal of Political Science, and various subfield journals and edited volumes. Prior to joining the UB faculty, he taught at the University of Mississippi and at George Mason University (in Economics). While at the University of Mississippi, he directed the Public Policy Research Center and the Social Science Research Laboratory, which were awarded more than $3 million in external grants during his tenure.
