Futurism reports on an artificial intelligence (AI) project in which UB engineering researchers plan to study brain waves and eye movements of people playing a video game.
An article in Digital Trends on the DARPA’s research to train military robots with human brain waves features a real-life strategy game designed by UB engineers in which players must use resources to build units and defeat enemies, manipulating large numbers of agents on-screen to complete their mission objectives.
Technology.org reported on a $316,000 federal grant awarded to a research team led by mechanical and aerospace engineer Souma Chowdhury from UB’s Artificial Intelligence Institute to study decision-making – as well as biometric information such as brain waves and eye movements – while gaming.
