  • CCR Computational Scientist, Shawn Matott, wins annual CASC cover art contest

    CCR computational scientist Shawn Matott's entry won the 2013 CASC (Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation) brochure cover art competition.
  • The Center for Computational Research (CCR) at the University at Buffalo (UB) and SUNY Oneonta have been awarded a Tier 3 SUNY Innovative Instruction Technology Grant (IITG) to pilot a collaborative virtual community, "Virtual Infrastructure for Data Intensive Analysis (VIDIA)".  This project will provide undergraduate students at the SUNY comprehensive colleges with opportunities to create, manipulate, and analyze large multi-terabyte datasets.  This work extends Oneonta’s "Big Data on Smaller Campuses," a highly successful IITG funded collaboration between UB, Penn State, and IBM.
